Carmen Bolanos, Ph.D., PCC, LPBC
Based in Austin, Texas, Carmen coaches individuals and groups to meet their most important business goals and to turn their "surviving businesses" into "thriving businesses".
With nine years experience as a coach, her clientele have included both professionals, university professors, business owners, executives and Olympic athletes. She maintains an international practice and has led groups in a virtual synchronous format spanning as many as 5 countries at once. She has also received the designation of Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation and holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University. In addition she is a Certified MentorCoach and has received specific business coach training through the Professional Business Coaches Alliance.
In her practice, Carmen has developed e-newsletters that have reached 5 continents and has coached clients through the development of electronic newsletters, one of which has reached a subscribership of over 5,000 readers in less than 6 months. She is an experienced web page designer and designer of curricula for virtual training.
A member of the Trainer Team for MentorCoach for several years, Carmen trained over 100 new coaches in both individual and group skills, providing a supportive and motivating atmosphere as her students have designed and run their own virtual groups for the first time. She was also a Pod Leader for the acclaimed international program, Authentic Happiness Coaching led by Martin E.P. Seligman, Ph.D., Fox Leadership Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and author of Authentic Happiness and Learned Optimism.
Carmen's latest project is NuNomad Ventures, a group of web based communities for professionals who want to maintain their income stream while they travel the world. Participating sites include NuNomad.com, LaptopHobo.com, and the related blog, BlueSuitNomad.com. As part of this venture, Carmen has also acted as Senior Contributor for the book, "Quit Dreaming and Go". In April of 2007, NuNomad Ventures was the featured story for the small business section of Businessweek.com.
